Community Guidelines
Everything travellers add to WanderPoi UA — reviews, photos, forum posts, profiles — is held to the same standards. These guidelines set out what we expect, what we remove, and how to challenge a decision.
Where these guidelines apply
These guidelines cover everything you contribute to WanderPoi UA — reviews and ratings, review photos, forum posts and replies, and your public profile. They apply on the website, in the mobile app, and in the Telegram bot.
They sit alongside the Terms of Use. The Terms are the agreement between you and us; these guidelines are the practical standard our moderators apply to content.
What we expect
Write from your own experience, and make it useful to the traveller reading it next.
- Review places you have actually visited, and describe what you actually found there.
- Upload photos you took yourself, of the place you are reviewing.
- Keep criticism specific and fair — take issue with a place or a service, not with a person.
- Respect other people's privacy. Do not post someone else's phone number, address, or documents.
What is not allowed
The categories below are the same ones you choose from when you report content in the app. Content that falls into any of them may be removed, and the account behind it may be restricted.
- Spam and fake content: Advertising, referral links, mass-posted or repeated text, reviews written for a place you never visited, and reviews traded for payment or a discount.
- Offensive content: Obscenity, graphic violence, sexual content, and material that is illegal or promotes illegal activity.
- Harassment and hate: Threats, insults, and personal attacks, doxxing, impersonating someone else, and attacks on people because of ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar grounds.
- Off-topic and misleading: Content that is not about the place being reviewed, knowingly false claims about a venue or a tour, and photos that show something other than what they claim to show.
Reporting content and blocking people
You can report a review, a review photo, or a user from the app, and pick the reason that fits. Reports go straight to our moderation queue and are not shown to the person you reported.
You can also block a user. Blocking is mutual — you stop seeing their content and they stop seeing yours — and it does not require anyone to break a rule first. You can unblock at any time.
What happens when the rules are broken
A moderator reviews every report within 24 hours of it being filed. If the content breaks these guidelines, it is removed from the platform.
Serious violations, and repeated ones after a warning, cost the account. A banned user is signed out of every device immediately and cannot sign back in.
When your content is removed or your account is restricted, we notify you, tell you which rule was applied, and point you to the appeal path. We do not tell the reporter who was actioned.
Appealing a decision
Moderation decisions are reversible. If you believe your content was removed or your account was restricted by mistake, contact us and a moderator will re-check the decision — removed content can be restored and a banned account can be reinstated.
Please include what was removed and when, so we can find the decision quickly.
- • Write from real, first-hand experience and keep it about the place.
- • Spam and fake content, offensive material, harassment, and off-topic or misleading posts are removed.
- • You can report any content or user, and block anyone you would rather not hear from.
- • We review every report within 24 hours, and every removal can be appealed.
Think we got it wrong?
If your review, photo, or account was actioned and you believe it was a mistake, tell us — a moderator will look at it again. Removals and bans can both be reversed.
